Applicants are required for the post of Senior Biomedical Scientist in the Haematology laboratory at Hull as part of the Scarborough, Hull and York Pathology Service (SHYPS).
You will be a qualified BMS, with MSc, or equivalent, and will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the coagulation section of the Blood Sciences Laboratory. You must be state registered with the HCPC and have extensive post registration experience in a Haematology Laboratory, with evidence of CPD in coagulation.
The section covers coagulation testing.
The Haematology laboratory has a wide test repertoire including routine haematology, blood transfusion, coagulation, special haemostasis, HbA1c and haemoglobinopathy testing. The laboratory is one of the busiest haematology laboratories in the region processing in excess of 900,000 requests pa across two hospital sites.
