Mō te tūnga | About the role
As a member of Defence Counter Intelligence (DEFCI) you will be providing subject matter expertise and strategic intelligence support to the New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF) on behalf of Defence Security. This work prioritises the identification, analysis and assessment of information indicating potential threats to the safety and security of NZDF personnel, information, assets and facilities.
This role sits within the Counter Intelligence and Personnel Security (CIPS) function. CIPS encompasses PERSEC, the Clinical Psychology function and DEFCI. The CIPS function as a unit are responsible for managing a fulsome NZDF approach to Insider Threat activities.
As a Senior Intelligence Analyst within this team, you will take on more complex and challenging strategic assessments, lead the maintenance and advancement of analytical rigour within the team, and provide coaching and mentoring to our junior analysts.
