PK Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated and nurturing SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in North Tyneside on a full-time maternity cover contract starting after May half term.

This rewarding opportunity will run from June 2026 through to June 2027 and will involve supporting pupils within the school s specialist SEN Unit.

The SEN Unit currently supports 12 pupils from Reception through to Year 5, providing a highly structured and supportive learning environment for children with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASD) and Speech & Language difficulties.

The Role

• Supporting pupils with varying levels of SEN within the SEN Unit
• Providing tailored support to pupils with ASD and Speech & Language needs
• Working on both a 1:1 and 2:1 basis depending on pupil needs
