3 months contract with a local authority Summary The Resolution and Tribunal Officer is a critical role responsible for managing Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) tribunal appeals. This position ensures compliance with statutory requirements and aims to achieve timely and effective resolutions. The officer will coordinate mediations, represent the Local Authority (LA) at tribunal hearings, and collaborate with key stakeholders to resolve disputes in the best interests of children and young people. Responsibilities Manage a caseload of SEND tribunal appeals, ensuring all deadlines and statutory requirements are met. Prepare and submit responses and documentation to the First-tier Tribunal in a timely and accurate manner. Coordinate and facilitate mediation processes to resolve disputes, reducing the need for formal hearings.
