The successful candidate will be responsible for tailoring their support to enable the student to develop their skills, confidence and independence. Duties of the role include: • Provide consistent 1:1 support during practical catering sessions and classroom-based learning. • Clearly modelling tasks and techniques and demonstrating each stage of an activity. • Breaking down tasks into manageable steps and reinforcing instructions as required. • Offer additional support with theory work to help the student process, understand and retain relevant information • Encourage and support the pupil in developing their confidence, motivation and guidance by providing appropriate levels of guidance.
