The Department of Internal Medicine, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Manitoba, and Shared Health Manitoba invite applications for the position of Head of the Section of General Internal Medicine, one of 18 sections in the Department of Internal Medicine providing patient care, undergraduate, postgraduate and continuing education and research. The successful applicant will also have a leading role in the health care delivery system of General Internal Medicine services in Winnipeg and Manitoba.

The 73 faculty members form a section that oversees the major in‑patient and out‑patient clinical care services at the three teaching hospitals in Winnipeg. Section physicians provide clinical attending services on 6 Clinical Teaching Units, multiple non‑teaching units, in‑patient Consult Services, ED screening coverage and numerous ambulatory care clinics at Winnipeg’s tertiary care centres and acute care hospitals.
