We are working on behalf of a school who is looking for a Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant to work with children withplex needs. The school caters for children with pupils with moderate to severe physical and cognitive learning difficulties and has a passionate andmitted leadership team.
The role is to start in April 2026 and would be to carry out full-time temporary cover till the end of the summer term.
The school are looking for someone who is:

Passionate about working with children with physical difficulties and/orplex needs

Has recent experience working in this area that can be referenced

Ideally, have qualifications/training in areas such as manual handling/hoist use/feeding/personal care/PECS Makaton/Team Teach

The school would wee people from a mainstream background who feel they have the relevant experience above.

Hays Education should be able to obtain recent references that back up experience as part of their clearance process.
