*University of Maryland School of Pharmacy – Peer Tutor for the Office of Students* The University of Maryland School of Pharmacy has multiple openings for Peer Tutors to join the Office of Students (formerly Student Affairs) in the Dean's Administration. Peer tutors are selected on the basis of academic skill, competence in the subject matter, character, and interest in helping students. Also, peer tutors are selected on the ability to communicate well with others, manage time, and listen. Tutors are expected to be patient and have extensive knowledge of the subject they are hired to tutor and the ability to communicate subject knowledge to their peers. Peer tutors work individually or in small group sessions with students to answer questions on course content and to aid in comprehension of course material.
