JOB GOAL: The goal of the School Nurse is to provide professional health services and serve as a source of health information for the school community. Health is defined as physical, emotional and mental health.

RESPONSIBILITIES:


+ Pupil Health

+ Assists with health examinations for new entrants and grades: Pre-K, K, 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11 and athletic certification.

+ Maintains health records and provides documentation of services.

+ Maintains communication with parents, teachers and staff regarding pupil’s health.

+ Maintains close working relationship with school physician

+ Contacts outside agencies and makes referrals when appropriat

+ Contacts and works with support personnel within the school as needed regarding student health. ...
