Substitute Caretakers are temporary staff who replace permanent personnel on vacation, sick leave, or professional development. Positions are full‑time (40 hours per week) and operate Monday through Friday during various day and evening shifts (8‑hour shifts with start times from 6:00 am to 3:00 pm). Each assignment lasts 6 months, with the possibility of renewal and placement into a permanent position.
Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties (documented as 85% of activity time).
- Conduct boiler maintenance and operation (15% of activity time).
- Ensure student, staff, and visiting public safety by reporting any issues to supervisors.
- Assist with any other tasks related to maintaining a functional and welcoming educational environment.
