Flexible Work, Better Balance
The Lajuma Research Centre, located in the Soutpansberg Mountains of Limpopo, has served as a base for wildlife research for more than two decades. The region is home to all five South African primate species, including the endangered samango monkey (Cercopithecus albogularis schwarzi). This project contributes to long-term research on samango behaviour, ecology, and conservation, supporting efforts to protect the forests and wildlife of this unique mountain landscape.
Interns play a key role in behavioural and dietary data collection, contributing to a long-running study of samango monkey ecology. This internship provides experience in primate fieldwork, ecological monitoring, and systematic data recording.
