Acting as Designated Person (DP) to ensure the effective implementation of a safety management system.
Communication and implementation of the safety environmental protection policy.
Developing SOPs to maintain the best business practice.
Evaluating and reviewing the effectiveness of safety management system (SMS).
Reporting and analysis of non-conformities, incident, and hazardous occurrences.
Participating in monitoring the effectiveness of Marine Units audits & inspection.
Appropriate revision of the SMS, SSP & Waste Management to ensure that adequate resources and shorebased support are provided.
Ensuring that all fleet crew members are compliant with STCW (Standard of Training, Certification and Watch keeping for Seafarers) convention, and carrying out the required verification of the crew certificates.
Fulfilling all requirements to maintain ISM and ISPS certification.
