Position Overview
A Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment by implementing safety policies, conducting inspections, and promoting compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities - Implement and enforce company health, safety and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular workplace inspections to identify hazards and unsafe practices.
- Ensure compliance with local safety regulations, client requirements and company standards.
- Carry out risk assessments and recommend corrective and preventive measures.
- Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks and awareness training for employees and subcontractors.
- Monitor the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure its availability.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses and unsafe conditions and prepare detailed reports.
