Summary Safety Consultant for Office of Facilities and Property Management (OFPM). Develops strategy to ensure NIST Environmental Health & Safety compliance. Provides expert advice to management on occupational health regulations. Leads accident investigations, reviews safety plans, and conducts workplace inspections. Manages construction permits, drinking water programs, and agency training. Responsibilities In this position, you will: Inspect & Support: Conduct complex hazard inspections and assist personnel with risk abatement. Review & Approve: Evaluate construction safety plans and job hazard analyses for compliance. Analyze & Advise: Track data trends to identify gaps and counsel leadership on improvements. Train & Manage: Execute safety training programs, manage internal initiatives, and oversee contracts.
