About this department
The School Nursing Program provides healthcare access to over 90,000 students, in 31 school districts throughout the State of Michigan. Nurses provide onsite care, rounding, and triage services. The programβs objective is to provide health care resources to schools, by partnering with districts to fit their needs. The nurse helps to manage acute illness, injury and chronic health conditions for their students by partnering with districts to fit their needs.
Scope of work
Provides nursing care responsibly and accountably as described professionally by the American Nurses Association (ANA), the National Association of School Nurses (NASN), and legally by the State of Michigan.
