About the Unit
The PACU at Helen DeVos Children's Hospital has a total of 12 bays. The Surgical Prep Recovery Unit (SPRU), which is our preop and phase II space, has 25 beds. Staff is cross trained in each area and will be expected to flex in and out of each space depending on need. We have both ICU level cases and outpatient cases.
