**Labor and Delivery Unit**

**East Tower, 3rd Floor**

**This unit includes 15 labor and delivery recovery suites, three surgical suites and four post anesthesia recovery beds. As part of MercyOne Children’s Hospital, the labor and delivery unit offers a variety of birthing methods and pain management options.**

Provides individualized, high-quality nursing care to patients of all ages. Uses a team approach to delegate and coordinate patient care at admission, transfer, and discharge. Independently delivers nursing care using the Nurse Practice Act, Mercy Medical Center policies, nursing standards, ethical principles, and professional judgment. Works rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
