About the unit

Wayne is a 53-bed level 4 trauma center serving the cities of Wayne/Westland, and the surrounding area as well as Detroit Metro Airport. We care for a variety of patients of all ages who are acute or chronically ill, approximately 30% of patient arrivals are via ambulance.
