Job Summary:
A highly skilled registered professional nurse employed by Erlanger Medical Center who is responsible for direct and/or indirect care of patients being seen and treated at Erlanger. Serves as a clinical resource to nursing, medical, and ancillary staff. Responds to in house codes, Rapid Response Alerts, Code Strokes, Code STEMI's and assists with transferring critically ill patients to the ICU. Responsible for rapidly triaging patients to determine treatment options. Coordinate with physicians on plan of care in an attempt to facilitate care and decrease in-house codes. Will use effective and constructive communication skills to convey evidence based practice at the bedside. May act as a project lead for department objectives and/or process improvement.
