**9N Neuro NeuroSurgery**

9N Neuro NeuroSurgery is a 23 bed unit. On this unit there is special emphasis on the care of acute CVA/TIA patients. 9N also cares for a wide variety of neurology-based diagnoses. In addition to non-surgical neurology, nurses will also have the opportunity to care for post-operative patients including thoracic/lumbar laminectomies, cervical/lumbar fusions, post op day 2 craniotomies and VP shunts. 9N does also take medical surgical overflow, so nurses can expect to gain a wide variety of experience and skills.
