Job Description

A well established open cast Mining Company based in Northern Cape Province has a great opportunity for a Risk Officer. The role is responsible for ensuring all legal compliance requirements are met, as required by the Mine Health and Safety Act. The Risk Officer will be responsible for risk control initiatives and systems to minimise risk, litigation exposure and adverse publicity by ensuring that all business partners working in the mine comply with both internal policies & applicable legislation.

The successful candidate must meet the following requirements:

•Grade 12/Matric Certificate;

•National Diploma in Safety Management

•Legal Liability Certificate

•COMSOC 1&2

•At least 5 years’ experience in mining industry;

•5 - 8 years’ experience as Safety Officer/Risk Officer

•Valid driver’s license;
