Position Summary:The Rigger is responsible for safely preparing, attaching, guiding, and securing loads for lifting and moving by cranes or other hoisting equipment on construction sites.
Job Duties
Duties included:
Inspect and verify rigging equipment before use, including slings, shackles, hooks, chains, and spreader bars
Properly select rigging gear based on load weight, size, shape, and lift requirements
Attach loads safely and securely for crane or hoisting operations
Signal orcommunicatewith crane operators during lifting and movement of materials
Ensure load stability and balance throughout the lifting process
Review lift plans and participate in pre-lift meetings as needed
Identify and report unsafe conditions, damaged equipment, or hazards on the job site
