The Registered Respiratory Therapist in the bronch procedure space (Pulm Func Tech) functions independently or in collaboration with physicians or other health care providers. Performs all necessary tests related to the diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary diseases to both inpatients and outpatients of all ages in compliance with the accepted professional, departmental, and hospital standards, while maintaining the daily operations of the hospital-based Mayo Procedural Space / Bronchoscopy Lab. Performs required tasks for Interventional Pulmonary / Bronchoscopy Procedure space, including but not limited to: Robotic Bronchoscopies, Tranplant Bronchoscopies, Inpatient Bronchoscopies, EBUS, and other Advanced Interventional Pulmonology procedures.
