Engage with DHH students, their whānau, and school staff across mainstream and specialist schools within the Mount Roskill – Glendowie, Otahuhu to Ponsonby catchment.
Plan, deliver, and assess curriculum-aligned lessons for early level Deaf learners, ensuring student participation and success in education and life outcomes.
Maintain accurate record keeping and liaise regularly with families and whānau to support student learning and welfare.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement best practice strategies for DHH learners.
Use personal vehicle for travel between schools; mileage will be reimbursed subject to conditions.
Qualifications
Proven best practice and experience working with Deaf or mainstream children.
Qualified Teacher of the Deaf or an experienced NZ registered teacher.
