Residential Childcare Practitioner

Biggar, South Lanarkshire

Salary: £34,976 to £37,447 OTE plus overtime at time and a half.

Role Overview

You will be part of a unique team who will work together to facilitate excellent practice and shape the development of our Service. This full‑time role involves completing 14‑hour shifts followed by a 10‑hour sleep‑over. Full‑time working patterns follow a 2‑on‑3‑off pattern, with staff in the service 48 hours at a time and then off for 3 days. The primary focus is on children and young people from a variety of backgrounds, many of whom have experienced trauma or adverse life events and need specialist therapeutic support in a small residential setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and support to children and young people in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Contribute to the assessment process and delivery of support programmes.
