The Barcelona Supercomputing Center – Centro Nacional de Supercomputación (BSC‑CNS) is the leading supercomputing centre in Spain. It hosts MareNostrum, one of the most powerful super‑computers in Europe, and it is a founding and hosting member of the former European HPC infrastructure PRACE and of EuroHPC JU. BSC’s mission is to research, develop and manage information technologies to facilitate scientific progress. It combines HPC service provision and R&D in both computer and computational science (life, earth and engineering sciences) and currently employs over 1000 staff from 60 countries.
