IMDEA Materials Institute invites applications from highly motivated candidates for a Research Support position with strong potential to evolve into a PhD opportunity in the field of advanced metal additive manufacturing and synchrotron X-ray characterization.
The project focuses on unveiling the fundamental mechanisms governing Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) of zinc and titanium alloys through a unique combination of operando synchrotron imaging, correlative characterization, and advanced data analytics. The successful candidate will work at the intersection of additive manufacturing, materials science, synchrotron radiation, and digitalization technologies, within an internationally collaborative and highly interdisciplinary environment.
