We are seeking a motivated Research Associate to support a research project focused on the modelling, design, fabrication, and control of soft robotic grippers for manufacturing applications. The successful candidate will contribute to both theoretical development and hands-on experimentation within a multidisciplinary team environment. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement models and simulations for soft robotic gripper designs
Design and optimise soft gripper structures for manufacturing use cases
Fabricate and prototype soft robotic systems using appropriate materials and techniques
Develop and implement control strategies for soft actuators and grippers
Plan and conduct experiments, testing, and performance evaluations
Analyse experimental data and prepare technical reports, publications, and presentations
Collaborate with team members and contribute to project milestones
