+ JOB REQUIREMENTS
+ Education
+ High School Graduate plus Health Care courses or on the job training specific to Hospital of Medical Office skills.
+ Experience
+ A minimum of one (1) year experience in a health care setting preferred. Demonstrated proficient computer, written and verbal communication, telephone, cash handling and customer service skills. A demonstrated knowledge of third party billing and reimbursement. Six months experience in hospital insurance billing or one year processing claims at the carrier level or processing claims in a similar medical facility or physician’s office is preferred. Keyboard, 10 key and other office equipment skills are necessary. Requires (6) months on the job training to adequately attain job proficiency. Orientation and training is age specific.
