Assist in the ER under the direct supervision of a registered nurse according to duties within the scope of practice as established by the College of Nurses of Ontario and in accordance with Hospital policy.
Has successfully completed MAHC RPN enhanced scope of practice credentialing.
Administer nursing care for patients under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse.
Required Education & Certification
Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
Courses at diploma level or equivalent courses through a recognized College Program (pre or post‑grad RPN): Medication Course/Math Pharmacology, Catheterization, PIV Therapy, Health Assessment, Wound Management.
Current BLS (Basic Life Support).
Basic & Advanced Nursing Fundamental Skills.
Successful completion of MAHC RPN enhanced scope of practice skills.
