As a Registered Nurse in the Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU), you will provide safe, evidence‑based and whanau‑centred care to newborns requiring specialised support. You will undertake comprehensive assessments, develop and evaluate care plans, and deliver nursing interventions that support the health, development and wellbeing of neonates. You will work closely with parents and whānau, providing education, guidance and emotional support throughout their babies' care journey. The role involves working collaboratively with paediatricians, nurses, allied health and the wider multidisciplinary team, while maintaining accurate documentation and contributing to safe staffing practices.
