This position supports the medical providers and nursing staff to ensure all patients receive quality care. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Escort patients to exam rooms; interview patients; measure vital signs including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature; and document all information in patient's chart. Assists the RN, LPN, and medical providers by promptly reporting changes in the patient's condition. Initiates emergency measures, cardiopulmonary resuscitation appropriate to skill level, and assists with retrieving emergency medical equipment as necessary. Assists medical providers in examination of patients by explaining procedures, positioning the patient, assembling, arranging, and draping instruments and gathering supplies. Documents information/ patient care into the patient's electronic health care record.
