AHS is looking for Registered Nurses (RNs) to help make this initiative a success and are offering a funded educational opportunity to enhance your nursing career with a certificate in Perioperative Nursing. AHS is partnered with Macewan University to provide the Perioperative Nursing Program which consists of 10 weeks of in-class/online theory learning, 60 hours of labs, 380 hours of clinical practicums. Clinical placements are within the Edmonton Zone at one of the following surgical sites: Sturgeon Community Hospital, Royal Alexandra Hospital, Stollery Children’s Hospital, University of Alberta Hospital, Mazankowski Heart Institute, Leduc Community Hospital, Grey Nuns Community Hospital and the Misericordia Community Hospital.
