Summary:
Provides professional care to patients utilizing the nursing process in collaboration with other health care team members. Works on a per diem basis.
Responsibilities:
1. Provides assessment of physical, emotional socio-economic needs and environmental needs of patients and their families.
2. Identification of problems utilizing patient data base, nursing process and physician's plan of treatment.
3. Develops a plan of care in conjunction with the patient and family based on the patients' needs and consistent with the physician's plan of treatment.
4. Observes, evaluates and reports to the physician the patient's physical and emotional condition; reaction to drugs or treatments and changes in the patient's condition.
5. Assesses health status through observation, interview and analysis. Counsels patients and families in basic principles of disease self-management and wellness and applies information for related fields such as nutrition,...
