The Registered Nurse – On-Call is responsible for all aspects of the on-call process (consult, initial assessments schedule as well as unscheduled visits) with appropriate documentation being completed in a timely manner and in compliance with agency policies and procedures. Maximize the comfort and health of patients and families.
Responsibilities:
- Assists in the ordering coordination of services with other agencies involved in patient care (i.e. equipment rental, medication and supplies).
- Provides a safe patient care environment (i.e. drug disposal, sharps disposal and universal precautions). Follow guidelines for universal precautions when providing patient care.
- Accountable for the administration and independent performance of therapeutic and diagnostic measures in a safe and accurate manner; includes but not limited to use of glucometer, obtaining and processing lab specimens, PCA-CADD care (site change,...
