Position Overview
Duties
- Work in both labor and post-partum units.
- Shift: 3x12 Days/Nights (0700-1930 and 1900-0730).
- Average Daily Census: 8 deliveries per day; post-partum: 15 per day.
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend.
- Float within scope as needed to meet facility needs.
- Perform sterile vaginal exams.
- Administer Pitocin (oxytocin) and manage/administer Epidural Anesthesia.
Skills
- BLS Certification.
- NRP Certification.
- Experience with External and Internal Fetal Monitoring.
- Experience with IUPC (Intrauterine pressure catheter) placement and calibration.
- Recognition and Treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns.
- Pain Management, including Epidural Anesthesia and Nitrous Oxide.
