The Perinatal Services Department at UNC Health Wayne delivers about 100 babies per month and is comprised of 3 individual departments: Labor and Delivery, Women and Infant’s Center and Special Care Nursery. Candidates who are offered this position will be expected to train to all 3 areas. Labor and delivery consists of 6 labor rooms, 1 LDOR and an observation area. Women and Infant’s center has 18 available suites for parents to bond with their baby in. Special Care Nursery has 4 beds and cares for babies 35 weeks and up.
