Registered Midwife

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of Midwifery and Neonatal Nursing care within a safe environment, ensuring care is planned, assessed, implemented, and evaluated based on individual patient needs.
• Support mothers and families throughout conception, pregnancy, labor (including complicated births), delivery, and postnatal care.
• Prepare women for labor, assist with birthing, assess newborns (APGAR, weight, head circumference), and provide postpartum care including infant feeding and maternal self‑care.
• Teach and assist parents with newborn care, offering evidence‑based guidance on skin care, infant feeding, and safe sleeping.
• Counsel and educate patients on reproductive health, contraceptives, and family planning.
