Position Overview
Provide comprehensive mental health care for students, including assessments, interventions, risk management, first aid, drop-ins, and follow-up of non-attendance.
Lead safeguarding practice, acting on concerns promptly, complying with safeguarding, Prevent and Mental Capacity legislation, and protecting children and vulnerable adults.
Work collaboratively across teams and agencies, contributing to multi-agency plans, Fitness to Study/Reside reviews, departmental meetings, and residential support services.
Maintain professional standards and governance, including accurate confidential records, consent to care, NMC Code compliance, and robust documentation.
Promote wellbeing, equality and prevention, delivering health promotion, student workshops, staff CPD, and supporting inductions and awareness initiatives.
