The ideal person is proficient in the following skills: taking patient histories, client education, animal handling and restraint, obtaining blood samples, placing IV catheters, performing in-house lab work, digital x-ray, caring for hospitalized pets, surgical assistance, computer skills, and client communication over the phone.
