Responsibilities
- Facilitate safety committee functions and responsibilities.
- Provide expertise to managers and employees on the identification and control of hazards.
- Support Operations and Safety Managers in planning, developing, implementing, monitoring and reporting on safety programs.
- Lead and guide the reporting, investigation, closure and tracking of workplace incidents in the region.
- Maintain expertise in safety legislation and best practices, and understand their impact on operations.
Qualifications
- University degree, preferably in Occupational Health and Safety
- Minimum 5-7 years safety experience
- Possession of, or working towards, Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) designation
