The mission of Correctional Managed Care is to address the healthcare needs of underserved patient populations within the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) and the Texas Juvenile Justice Department (TJJD).

**_JOB SUMMARY_** **:**

Serves as medical director for a number of correctional facilities within a designated region. Provides professional services related to diagnosis and treatment of inmate patients and of employees injured as a result of TDCJ-ID work related activities. Ensures that appropriate healthcare is accessible and provided to the inmate population in a timely fashion.
