New Zealand Red Cross, managed by Volunteering Canterbury, is looking for friendly volunteers to deliver meals from our Hillmorton pick‑up point to surrounding suburbs including Sydenham, Spreydon, Halswell, Huntsbury, Cashmere, Somerfield, St Martins and Hoon Hay.

Key Responsibilities

• Pick up meals at the Lincoln Road pick‑up point at 11:00 am, Monday to Friday.
• Deliver meals to the listed suburbs.
• Support Red Cross Meals on Wheels coordinators and other volunteers.

What We Need From You

• MOJ Check required.
• Minimum age 18 years.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Vehicle with valid registration (rego) and warrant of fitness.
• Two character references.
• Commitment to training and support provided by the Red Cross.

We offer a contribution towards petrol, and we welcome volunteers available once a week, fortnightly, monthly or as on‑call drivers.
