Summary About the position: This position is Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Buckner Fitness Center Pool and Elmendorf Fitness Center Pool on JBER, AK. Applications are open to ages 16 and older. Flexible employees have work schedules that depend on the needs of the activity. You may work a minimum of 0 to a maximum of 40 hours per week. Flexible employees may be subjected to on call work in addition to hours posted on the schedule. Responsibilities Continuously observes swimming area to ensure safety of patrons. Ensures the swimming area is open to patrons at scheduled times and only authorized persons are admitted to the area. Rescues swimmers in trouble, promptly administers first aid, and calls for medical assistance if and when needed. Warns swimmers of unsafe environmental or health conditions.
