Summary Incumbent performs a variety of duties in support of the Kennels that may include care of animals, maintenance of facility, and clerical work. Responsibilities Provides care according to set schedules for dogs, cats, and other small animals. Handles docile but agile animals without injury to the animals and him/herself. Performs personal care for animals according to instructions. Observes animals for obvious changes in appearance or activity. Reports any obvious changes to supervisor or higher graded staff member. Prepares rations, feeds, and waters according to instructions. Ensures plenty of clean water is provided to pets. Cleanup and dispose of animal waste. Cleans and disinfects pens, kennels, rest rooms, cages, food and water bowls, exercise yards, and overall facility.
