**Main Purpose**:
Guide the best use of resources for Research and Development priorities per pillar (Sustainability, Protein research, Functional Ingredients, NHU, Product Development, Process Development, Operational Excellence, Science Translation, etc.) ensuring the proper allocation of resources.
Lead the yearly planning cycle for R&D ensuring proper timings for project planning and budgeting and the monthly progress monitoring (CAPEX & OPEX), as well as being the responsible unit for best practices and support for the business cases that the R&D unit generates.
**Main Responsabilities**:
- Participate in the process for the definition of the Central R&D strategy (1-5 year cycles) that guides each R&D pillar/workstream towards the ambition of Sigma to be a leading company in food technology.
