Overview

Detailed Overview Reporting to the Supervisor, Radiological Technology and the Site Coordinator, Medical Imaging, the Radiological Technologist, practices in accordance with the standards of professional practice as well as utilizing a client and family centered care model and the vision and values of the department within Fraser Health (FH).

The Radiological Technologist performs diagnostic radiographic/fluoroscopic and medical imaging procedures/techniques and related duties, observing safe radiation protection practices.

Responsibilities

• Receives and completes requisitions; enters relevant data into the Radiology Information System (RIS); prepares patients for examination; operates radiographic and computerized imaging equipment; processes radiographs and archives acquired data; monitors patient during procedures; monitors equipment performance; maintains cleanliness of examination rooms.
