Overview

An opportunity has arisen for a Radiological Protection Engineer within AtkinsRéalis' expanding Decommissioning Services team. The successful candidate will report to Senior Engineer/RPA and will take a leading role in the radiological protection aspects of the projects on which Decommissioning Services are engaged.

The RP specific work on projects currently being delivered includes:

• The provision of high‑level technical advice to client sites.
• Detailed technical design and review of products, technology and processes including modification of RP arrangements.
• The provision of RP support and oversight of practical delivery of operational decommissioning work (e.g., size reduction of redundant components etc.).
• Whilst the main roles and responsibilities will be based around radiological protection, there will be significant cross‑over with radioactive waste, therefore flexibility is essential.
