The diagnostic Radiologic Technologist successfully acquires quality radiographs and performs fluoroscopy guidance for diagnostic, surgical, and therapeutic purposes, using the expertise and knowledge of radiologic technology and radiographic equipment and positioning.



PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION:

Technical requirements:


+ Must be able to problem-solve and troubleshoot issues independently or go through the proper channels to follow through, so the task is complete.

+ Must be able to and willing to work independently in all areas of the diagnostic radiology department, particularly in the operating room, with portable X-ray equipment, and with c-arm equipment.

+ Must be willing to perform medical assistant duties as necessary depending on location of employment.
