Radiologic Technologist Cardiac Cath Lab

The Radiologic Technologist Cardiac Cath Lab (RT-CCL) under the supervision of a licensed Cardiologist, assists in diagnosing and treating cardiac and peripheral vascular disease and cardiac arrhythmias in the Cath Lab. The RT-CCL will be responsible for assisting with the following procedures; basic diagnostic catheterization procedures, IABP placement and operation, implantation of pacemaker, ICD, and BIV ICD. The RT-CCL will be responsible for room preparations and breakdown to include stocking rooms, daily QC checks, radiographic, hemodynamic and computer setup, and room cleanup. Using sterilization procedures will sterilize equipment used during procedures. The RT-CCL will monitor the status of the patient during the procedure; provide age and gender specific care, and at times may perform EKG lead placement, blood pressure and pulse oximetry setup for hemodynamic monitoring.
